Dr. Eric Paradis will discuss and highlight his team’s success in Montreal, Quebec where they have reduced the patient’s length of stay in hospital, using a Day Surgery Protocol and Low-Pressure Laparoscopy. This topic is of interest across specialties in Canada as many hospitals look to approach long wait lists in surgeries. Through using optimized resources with advanced technology tools and by applying an understanding of the ERAS approach, the team was able to optimize the success of this project. Dr. Eric Paradis and the team have developed an implementation protocol in which each level of care is directly involved to reduce the patient’s length of stay in hospital.  The presentation will focus on the essential steps to achieve this innovative trajectory where the multidisciplinary approach is the key to success.
